Friars Walk: Newport shopping centre 'very good for town'

Shoppers in Newport believe Friars Walk has benefitted the city as the centre celebrates its one-year anniversary.

The landmark £90m centre opened in November 2015 and was seen as a cornerstone for the city centre's regeneration.

Bosses at Friars Walk claim it has created 1,500 jobs, attracted 10 million shoppers and brought £120m into the city since opening on John Frost Square.
