Dame Shirley Bassey in tears at student tribute concert
Dame Shirley Bassey thought she had seen it all in her 60 years in show business, but on Saturday the Welsh singer was moved to tears as she enjoyed a career first.
Students at Cardiff's Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama sang some of her greatest hits at a concert in tribute to the Diamonds Are Forever, Goldfinger and Big Spender singer.
The 79-year-old is a long-time supporter of the college and donated money in 2003 to set up a scholarship fund.
Dame Shirley told BBC Wales arts and media correspondent Huw Thomas she had not previously heard her own hits sang back to her.
