North Wales an 'important' energy location for National Grid

The head of the National Grid control room says Wales plays a "crucial part" in exporting power to the rest of the UK.

The National Grid is currently consulting on proposals for another connection to carry power across Anglesey, in anticipation of a new nuclear plant at Wylfa Newydd.

Duncan Burt said north Wales has always been an important location on the system.
