The journey of a Christmas card: From depot to Derek

Royal Mail has warned customers not to get caught out as the last posting date for first-class Christmas delivery is Wednesday.

BBC Wales posted a Christmas card to forecaster Derek Brockway and followed its journey from Cardiff's mail depot on Penarth Road to Broadcasting House.

It was sorted among the piles of first and second-class mail before a second machine filtered it down to a postcode area and then into a "walk area" for specific streets or roads.
