Fochriw school's daily mile improves classroom performance

Every day come rain or shine pupils at Fochriw Primary School in Caerphilly county leave the classroom and head outside.

The 114 pupils, aged three to 11 years, run or walk a mile around the school playground to improve their health and fitness.

The daily mile is also improving performance in the classroom, including concentration levels and behaviour.

The teachers at the school said all the children enjoy their daily walk or run.
