'We have to stop this crisis in social care'

The owner of a care home company says the "crisis" in social care has to be stopped, as firms say they are not being paid enough to offer acceptable levels of care.

Ken Hogg of Cymorth Llaw said professional carers had to be paid properly in order to feel valued.

Private domiciliary care firms commissioned by local authorities say there is a recruitment crisis due to competition from hospitals and supermarkets.
