Theatr Colwyn signs up to dementia friendly screenings

A Conwy county theatre has launched dementia friendly cinema screenings.

Theatr Colwyn in Colwyn Bay has signed up to A Life More Ordinary - a project which offers people living with dementia and memory loss the chance to enjoy arts and cultural events with their family and friends.

The rules are relaxed in the cinema, with the lights left on, the volume adjusted and people can get up and move around.

There are evening sing-a-longs and dancing.

Iris Davies, 83, was among the audience for a showing of Singing in the Rain.
