Parkinson's Disease course uses shouting to help patients

People with Parkinson's Disease are taking part in an innovative speech therapy course in Flintshire to help make themselves heard again.

The class, developed in the United States, is being run by Betsi Cadwaldr health board in Hope and focuses on increasing the volume of speech.

It aims to give people whose voices have become soft or slurred the confidence to talk again.

Speech and language therapist Kit Clewley said it enables people's speech to become "more intelligible".
