Abusers of their children 'should lose parental rights'

Parents who cause "damage" to their children should lose their parental rights, MP Carolyn Harris has said.

The shadow minister for women and equalities was speaking after a convicted sexual abuser sought to control the lives of his children from behind bars.

The mother of the children has asked MPs to change the law so those who abuse their own children lose their parental rights.
