Pembrokeshire farmer says they have 'best' pollution solutions

The environment secretary wants "the right balance" of regulation, voluntary measures and investment to tackle pollution from farming.

But Lesley Griffiths has stopped short of extending Nitrate Vulnerable Zones in Wales - which would have restricted fertilise, muck spreading and slurry management.

She will look at giving farmers flexibility to "achieve the same or better outcomes" than with regulation.

Pembrokeshire dairy farmer Will Prichard said he faced a £100,000 slurry storage bill if his farm had been included in a new control zone.

But Ms Griffiths warned that argri-pollution incidents were "unacceptable".
