Choir serenades Welsh fairytale castle proposal couple

Stephanie was in for surprise when partner Clair Johnson and daughter Poppy took her for a day out.

When they entered the 19th Century Gothic castle at Castell Coch on the outskirts of Cardiff, Pendyrus Male Voice Choir started to sing.

As the hymn Calon Lan filled the air, Clair got down on one knee to ask for her hand in marriage.

The couple, from Cardiff, have been partners for five years and Clair said it was the "perfect proposal for the love of my life".

“To have been able to pop the question in such a romantic location with no-one else around is something we will never forget — it was truly magical," she added.
