Wales weather: Lightning strike sees two evacuate house

Two people have gone to hospital for cautionary checks after a house was struck by lightning.

The house in Rhosnewydd, Tumble, Carmarthenshire, was hit and severely damaged on Wednesday morning.

One witness said the property was "completely ruined" after damage to the roof and walls of the house.

Elliott Rees added that the strike had sounded "like an explosion".

Another house suffered minor damage.
