Sarah Everard: Rape survivor calls for talks with boys about respect

A woman who was raped as a child while waiting for a lift home has spoken of being fearful of going out at night on her own.

Llinos Dafydd was just 14 when she was raped while waiting for a lift home, she has waved her right to anonyminity to speak to BBC Wales.

She said the incident had shaped her life and she hoped people would talk to children and all boys would be raised to respect women.

A debate has been sparked about women's safety and societies attitude towards violence against women, after the death of Sarah Everard.

Ms Everard disappeared while walking home in Clapham, London on 3 March, her remains were later discovered in woodland in Kent.
