Covid: Wales' first vaccine clinic in a mosque opens in Newport

Wales’ first vaccine clinic in a mosque has started giving people their Covid jabs.

A clinic will now be held at the mosque, in Newport, every month.

Dr Kasim Ramzen, of Muslim Doctors Cymru, assured patients the vaccine was halal and having it would not break Ramadan fasts.

He said having the clinic in the mosque helped them see people “we have never been able to access before".
