North Wales tourism has strained communities, authority says

An exceptionally busy year for tourism has put a strain on some communities, according to the Snowdonia National Park Authority.

It said while the numbers visiting brought economic benefits, it also brought challenges.

“There is just no denying the fact that more visitors equals more costs, more impacts,” the authority’s Helen Pye said.

North Wales Police said there was also more demand for the force to deal with anti-social behaviour.
