Covid: Omicron prompts Drakeford to urge people to get jabbed

First Minister Mark Drakeford has urged people to get vaccinated immediately following the emergence of the Omicron variant.

It has yet to be found in Wales, but there are fears its appearance is inevitable.

“If you have not had a vaccine already, come forward now and be vaccinated,” Mr Drakeford said.

“If you have been invited for a booster vaccine make that your priority for the day.”
