Post Office scandal: Sub-postmaster says inquiry is cathartic

A sub-postmaster who was falsely accused of stealing £22,000 from the Post Office has said he intends to cover fresh ground during the inquiry.

Tim Brentall, from Roch, Pembrokeshire, was prosecuted in 2010 and in the years that followed he said he was subjected to a "whispering campaign" due to the wrongful conviction.

He has added that giving evidence to the inquiry on Tuesday in Cardiff will be cathartic for him and perhaps the final time he will talk about his experiences.
