King Charles' cancer diagnosis highlights benefits of early diagnosis

The news of King Charles’ cancer highlighted the importance of getting an early diagnosis, according to charity Tenovus.

His cancer was found during treatment for an enlarged prostate, but is not prostate cancer.

The type of cancer has not been revealed, but a Buckingham Palace statement said the King began regular treatments on Monday.

The chief executive of cancer charity Tenovus Judi Rhys said: “It just goes to show how important it is that things are caught early, often before you even know that you have it."
