Teaching through the arts 'key' to improving education

Artists, musicians and actors are to head into schools to work directly with disadvantaged pupils as part of a £20m arts strategy.

The five-year plan is led by the Arts Council of Wales.

Its chairman, Prof Dai Smith, says teaching children in the arts can help boost their performance across all other lessons.
