'Everything is in place' for M4 relief road, says Edwina Hart

Fears the planned M4 relief road could be in doubt after Transport Minister Edwina Hart announced her decision to stand down from the assembly have been played down.

The employers' organisation the CBI is asking for reassurance that the Welsh government will remain fully committed to building the road south of Newport.

Mrs Hart approved plans for the £1bn project in July 2014 but announced on Friday that she will not seek re-election at next May's assembly election.

But she told BBC Wales "everything is in place" for a final decision on the project to be taken in 2016.
