Steel crisis: Sajid Javid defended by junior minister

Business Minister Anna Soubry has defended her boss Sajid Javid over his handling of the Tata steel crisis.

She being questioned by MPs on the Welsh Affairs committee on Tuesday amid fears for thousands of jobs at the UK's biggest steel plant, at Port Talbot.

Mr Javid had been criticised for being out of the country when Tata Steel said it wanted to sell its UK assets.

Ms Soubry said the UK government had not been expecting the announcement when it came.
