Welsh Labour makes promises we know we can keep, Jones says

Labour will keep its election promises on apprenticeships, the M4 and a South Wales Metro despite uncertainty over Brexit, the first minister has said.

Carwyn Jones will publish his five-year programme for government later, outlining his vision to make Wales more prosperous, healthy and ambitious.

Due in July, the plan was delayed pending re-assessment in the wake of the vote for the UK to leave the EU.

Mr Jones said the pledges, based on those given in Labour's manifesto for the Welsh Assembly election in May, included no "wild promises".
