Swansea Bay City deal based on 'discredited strategy'
A Welsh economist has criticised the Swansea Bay City Region Deal, saying it is based on a 'discredited' strategy.
Dylan Jones-Evans, of the Bristol Business School, said the deal was "vitally important" to the region but that the new strategy was "very different" to a model proposed by Sir Terry Matthews a year ago.
He claimed the deal had moved from "investing in infrastructure and people and based on this digital revolution" towards "building more buildings".
