Labour 'taking nothing for granted'

Welsh Labour is taking nothing for granted at the local elections, Carwyn Jones has said.

Mr Jones wrote on Friday that his party will find it "tough" to avoid losses in May's local elections having performed well in 2012.

Asked if he was being defeatist, the first minister said: "If you've won a major football championship once, it's difficult to repeat that feat.

"So from our perspective, we know 2012 was a very good result, we will be working hard to repeat that."
