BBC and S4C partnership in face of 'tight' resources

The BBC and S4C benefit from working together when resources are tight, the director of BBC Wales has told assembly members.

Rhodri Talfan Davies was giving evidence to the culture committee's inquiry on the future of the Welsh language channel.

He said the two broadcasters had a good working relationship on a programme-making level but "complicated" governance arrangements would be made "simpler".

Mr Davies said the BBC and S4C had to work together for the sake of Welsh-speaking audiences.
