Welsh Greens' 'strategic decision' on candidates

Welsh Greens have taken a decision to not put forward some candidates for the general election for "strategic reasons", leader Grenville Ham has said.

The party has only ten candidates in Wales at the 8 June poll.

The Wales Green Party leader Mr Ham said a further ten had been picked, but said reasons such as money or to show support for other parties, local parties decided to "withdraw".

He spoke to BBC Wales political reporter Carl Roberts at the launch of the Welsh Green Party's election manifesto.
