Election result 2017: Tory government only option, says Bebb

A senior Welsh Conservative MP has dismissed the idea that Labour could take power after the Tories lost their majority at Thursday's general election.

Theresa May has been holding discussions with Northern Ireland's Democratic Unionists whose 10 MPs could give her the votes she needs to stay in power.

Labour leader Jeremy Corbyn has said his party is ready to step in and form a minority administration but without any deals with other parties.

But Wales Office Minister Guto Bebb said a Conservative government was "the only option on the table".
