UKIP AM says society faces 'implosion' from transgender rights
Society faces "total implosion" if the "nuttiest elements of the transgender movement" are appeased, UKIP AM Gareth Bennett has said.
Mr Bennett's comments prompted gasps, laughter and heckling from some of the other AMs attending to discuss the Equality and Human Rights Commission Annual Review.
The South Wales Central AM said a "grown-up conversation" about the issue of minority rights was needed, and people needed to accept that there had to be "limits" to them.
