Cost-saving drive risks patient safety, RCN says

A drive to save money in Wales' NHS is putting patient safety at risk, according to the Royal College of Nursing.

They have told BBC Wales that nurses are seeing cutbacks on the front line with even basics like bed linen in short supply.

Health boards have been warned they have to hit their financial targets by April, but currently face a £50m shortfall.

One nurse - who did not want to be identified - explained what she thought was the impact on patients.
