Michael Sheen: Syrian crisis a 'political football'

Hollywood actor Michael Sheen has told BBC Wales the Syrian refugee crisis is being used as a "political football".

He told a Welsh Government anti-slavery conference in Newport that more needs to be done to help refugees.

Mr Sheen welcomed figures from the children's charity UNICEF saying 257 Syrian refugees have been relocated to Wales.

UNICEF said it expected some of the unaccompanied child migrants being moved from the so-called 'Jungle' camp at Calais in France eventually to be relocated to Wales.

The UK Government has pledged to take 20,000 Syrian refugees over a five-year period.
