Bill Gates on international aid and development

Microsoft founder Bill Gates has been talking to European leaders about their contributions to international aid and development in a series of meetings.

He told the BBC that despite tight economic times, "Europe has been very generous... it's important Europeans hear about the incredible success of the aid they've given".

He also spoke about his Foundation's determination to stop polio, saying that with "three or four more years and some good luck... this will be the second disease that mankind has ever eradicated".
