Ban Ki-moon 'deeply concerned' about Syria unrest
UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon has said he feels Syria's President Assad should take "broad and decisive measures" to resolve the unrest in his country before the UN can intervene.
He was speaking to the BBC's Barbara Plett after being re-elected for a second five-year term, in a vote at the UN General Assembly in New York.
Mr Ban said he was "deeply concerned about what is going on in Syria," and that he was continuing to talk to President Assad to try to find a way out of the situation.
