Flash floods hit parts of UK and Ireland

Torrential rain has flooded parts of South West England, Wales and Northern Ireland. Emergency plans are also in place in parts of the Republic of Ireland after more than a month's worth of rain fell there in a day.

Search teams looking for a missing policeman who was swept away by the floods in County Wicklow say they have recovered a body - and the body of a woman has also been found in a flooded basement in Dublin.

The BBC's Ireland correspondent Mark Simpson reports from there.
