Captain says forces will double trust-building efforts

The Afghan parliament is calling for the US soldier who killed 16 civilians to face a public trial there.

It has passed a resolution saying that people had lost patience with the actions of foreign troops.

The Taliban says it will take revenge for the victims, including nine children, who were shot dead in their homes in Kandahar Province.

Captain Justin Brockhoff from the International Security Assistance Force for Afghanistan's Joint Command Centre in Kabul told BBC Radio 5 live Breakfast how the Taliban will take advantage of the attack.
