Ukraine elections: 'Majority support Tymoshenko'

When Euro 2012 arrives in Ukraine a number of European Union diplomats have already said they will stay away in protest.

A lot of criticism has focused on former Prime Minister Yulia Tymoshenko's imprisonment and allegations she was beaten by prison staff.

Ms Tymoshenko was convicted of abuse of office in a trial which was widely condemned as politically motivated, but the government denies her claims.

Her daughter, Eugenia Tymoshenko, told the BBC her mother's party is polling 4% ahead of the government in opinion polls in Ukraine.
