James Corden 'overwhelmed' by Tony Award

British actor James Corden has won a Tony Award, Broadway's highest honour, for his role in the play One Man, Two Guvnors.

He won the award for best leading actor, beating the favourite Philip Seymour Hoffman in Death of a Salesman.

The 33-year-old said he was "overwhelmed" by the win, and paid an emotional tribute to his girlfriend Julia, who gave birth to his son five days before rehearsals for the show began.
