Falkland Islands referendum not a PR stunt

The result of a referendum on the future of the Falkland Islands will be announced later today.

Islanders have been voting on whether the islands should remain a British Overseas Territory.

Argentina had dismissed the vote as a PR stunt.

Speaking to BBC Radio 5 Live' Breakfast, Alex Olmedo, who runs a hotel in the Falklands said the referendum was 'very serious and important to us'.
