China's 'American dream'

The leaders of the two most powerful countries on earth are in California. It's the second day of their 'informal' summit meeting.

They are, of course, global rivals but when it comes to inspirational appeal, China has no match for the American Dream.

That may be changing however, Beijing has unleashed a propaganda blitz to promote President's Xi new slogan, the China Dream.

The BBC's China correspondent Martin Patience reports, the dream has more to do with nationalism than individual aspirations.
