Japan marks 68th anniversary of the atomic bombing of Nagasaki

Japan has been marking the 68th anniversary of the atomic bombing of Nagasaki.

The US dropped two atomic bombs, three days apart, in Japan.

This year's ceremony takes place as operators of the Fukushima nuclear power plant struggle to contain radioactive water leaking into the ocean.

The revelations about the continuing fallout from the disaster have highlighted concerns about the safety of nuclear energy, and the effects of radiation.
