Timeline: The events leading up to Egypt bloodshed

August 14th, 2013 was one of the bloodiest day's in Egypt's modern history which saw more than 500 people die.

Reports suggest that scores of bodies have not been registered and many fear that the final death toll will be higher than anticipated.

The Muslim Brotherhood insists that more than 2,000 people have died.
