Chatty Japanese robot in space first from ISS

A Japanese robot orbiting above Earth has called home for the first time.

In a video released on 5 September but filmed two weeks earlier, Kiboro, spoke from the International Space Station (ISS).

The robot is set to conduct experiments in space by taking verbal orders from astronaut commander Koichi Wakata and by remote-control from earth.

They are the first words ever spoken by a humanoid robot in space.
