Forgotten map of Australia to be displayed in Canberra

A centuries-old chart created in 1663 and thought to be the prototype for all future maps of Australia is about to go on display at the National Library of Australia.

The intricate, gilded wall chart - called Archipelagus Orientalis - had been folded up and forgotten about for a number of years in a storage facility in Sweden.
