F1 world 'in state of shock' after Schumacher accident

The former world motor-racing champion, Michael Schumacher, is in a critical condition in hospital after suffering a head injury while skiing in the French Alps.

A statement from doctors in Grenoble said the German driver was in a coma when he was admitted and had required an immediate operation by neurosurgeons.

Formula 1 journalist and former Sporting Director of the US F1 team Peter Windsor says that the news has shocked the motorsports community.
