Madeleine McCann scrubland search given extra week

Detectives investigating the disappearance of Madeleine McCann have been given an extra seven days to search scrubland near the apartment in Portugal from which she disappeared.

Officers from Scotland Yard have been examining the same section of private land in Praia da Luz since Monday, but as yet there is little indication of a breakthrough.
