Malaysia Airlines: 'Suffering relatives are the priority'

A Malaysian airliner carrying 295 people has crashed in east Ukraine on a flight from Amsterdam to Kuala Lumpur, amid allegations it was shot down.

At a news briefing at Amsterdam's Schiphol Airport, the airline said all the crew were Malaysian and passengers also included those from the Netherlands, Malaysia, Australia, Indonesia, the UK, Germany, Belgium, the Philippines and Canada.

Senior vice president of Malaysia Airlines, Huib Gorter, said their priority was to look after suffering families.
