Commonwealth pupils confuse Angela Merkel with the Queen

The Queen will formally open the 20th Commonwealth Games in Glasgow later, in front of a 40,000 crowd at Celtic Park.

To mark the occasion, the Today programme asked reporters in different parts of the Commonwealth what the organisation means to some of its younger citizens.

Speaking to Gabriel Gatehouse in Kenya and Andrew North in India, school pupils explained what they understood about the Commonwealth Games, and tried to identify the Royal family.
