Foreign secretary says Foley killing is betrayal of Britain

The Foreign Secretary Philip Hammond has said the government is "investing significant resources" to combat Islamic extremism.

It follows the murder of the American journalist James Foley by a member of the extremist group Islamic State, who is thought to be British.

In Iraq, more refugees have been fleeing the advance of the IS fighters.
