US envoy: 'Britain will support IS strategy'

The US envoy tasked by President Barack Obama with building a coalition against Islamic State (IS) in Iraq and Syria has spoken to BBC Newsnight's Laura Kuenssberg.

Retired Gen John Allen told the programme that Britain would support the "strategy" to combat the militants. At present Britain has only committed military backing against IS in Iraq.
