Ebola crisis: US announces 21-day quarantine measures

The governors of New York and New Jersey in the United States have ordered that anyone arriving from West Africa, who has had contact with Ebola patients, should be placed in quarantine for 21 days.

The move comes after a doctor, Craig Spencer, returned from Guinea and tested positive for Ebola in New York.

The plans go beyond anything so far announced at a national level by the Obama administration.

Tim Allman reports.
