Egyptian regime 'wants to erase 2011 uprising from history'

The Egyptian regime is "trying to erase" the country's 2011 uprising from history, liberal activists have told the BBC.

Protesters behind the revolution, which saw then-President Hosni Mubarak swept from power, hoped it would lead to fundamental reform and an end to repression.

Instead, as the BBC's Orla Guerin reports for Newsnight, they worry that only the president - and not the regime - has changed.
